This list provides information and updates on the efforts of Western Colorado Congress and its allies throughout Colorado to pass legislation regulating biopharmaceutical and industrial crops
in the 2005 Colorado Assembly.

Initial subscribers will be those individuals and organizations that signed the letter to Governor Owens in May, 2003, asking for a moratorium on biopharming.

In view of new scientific information, we are now working to introduce and pass a bill that bans the outdoor planting of biopharmaceutical and industrial crops that employ food or feed plants. The draft legislation will also include requirements for disclosure of location and intent of other hiopharm crops that may be planted.
